4G Samsung Galaxy Tab Could Go to Sprint This Year

BGR is reporting today that a CDMA variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab could be going to Sprint [S] in November of this year.

The CDMA version hasn’t been priced just yet although BGR does seem quite confident in the source of information that they have.

As well as it being on the Sprint network, they also mention it will be a 3G and 4G device. [Read more…]

Gmail Priority Inbox Now Available

Early this week, Google [GOOG] announced Gmail Priority Inbox. The service is designed to prioritise your inbox to give you the emails that are most important at the top with the less important ones being left below.

After checking today we now see that the service is active. When you log in you’ll see a message about priority inbox at the top right of the screen. Click on it and at this point you can start to train the rule system that lets it work. To do this, Gmail shows a few messages which you click on + or – to determine the priority of the messages. Sony Bloggie Touch HD Camera

The Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20K is a HD video camera capable of capturing at full HD 1080p. It has a 12.8 megapixel sensor inside that can capture through an F2.8 lens.

The 12.8 megapixel sensor used in the camera is an Exmor CMOS sensor. Storage wise it comes in either 4GB and 8GB capacities.

Connectivity wise, it has a built in USB connector along with a HDMI output. The camera integrates with social networking sites to make uploading of photos and videos easy. [Read more…]

Samsung I5510 Running Android 2.2 at IFA

Over at IFA the Samsung I5510 smartphone was spotted. The I5510 is a QWERTY slider phone that was seen to be running Android 2.2 at the Vodafone booth.

Price wise, the Samsung I5510 will cost 200 Euros. It has a 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 3.0, Wireless networking, UMTS along with a microSD card slot for adding extra storage capacity to the device. [Read more…]

ViewSonic ViewPad 100 Dual-Boots with Android and Windows 7

ViewSonic is launching a few tablet computers. One of them is the ViewPad 7. The ViewPad 7 is an Android based tablet that will be launching this year from what we understand.

As well as creating the ViewPad 7, ViewSonic is also creating the ViewPad 100 that will be capable of dual-booting with both Android and Windows 7.

The ViewPad 100 has a 10 inch screen which has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The screen is multitouch but only with a couple of points although it is capacitive touch. [Read more…]

Royal Mail Introduces the Intelligent Stamp

Royal Mail has created the worlds first Intelligent Stamp. The new stamp is capable of working with image recognition technology.

The intelligent stamp works with an augmented reality app called Junaio. When receiving a letter with a new stamp attached you can hold the camera of an iPhone or Android phone over the stamp. The software recognises the stamp and is able to pull up information, video clips and other details about what is on the stamp and play back the information to you. [Read more…]

iOS 4.2 iPad Page Goes Live at Apple

Apple [AAPL] has uploaded a new page to it’s website that provides the official details of iOS 4.2 for iPad. The iOS 4.2 release date is November this year which will bring everything to iPad which includes multi-tasking, folders as well as the ability to print among a number of other enhancements.

On the official iOS 4.2 page, Apple mention that over 100 enhancements will be added to the iPad with the update. These features include the much wanted multitasking that allows you to switch quickly between apps. This works exactly how it does on the iPhone running iOS 4.

Folders is another feature wanted by many. Folders also works the same was as the iPhone/iPod touch running iOS 4 in that you drag 1 icon on to another to create a folder. [Read more…]

Google Music Might not have Any Labels Signed Yet – Rumor

Google [GOOG] is looking to employ somebody to head up it’s music launch this year.

As well as looking for someone to lead the project, it appears that Andy Rubin (Android guy) is in talks with record labels to get them signed up.

Reuters is reporting that Google has yet to sign up any labels to the service which indicates they need to work rather quick if they plan to launch by the end of this year. [Read more…]

Sharp 3D Camera Phone Spotted at IFA

Sharp is launching a number of devices with glasses free 3D screens over the next few months. The new range of concept products had screens ranging from 3 inches to 10 inches in size.

One particular was the mobile phone pictured above that has a 3D screen on the front as well as a couple of cameras on the back allowing it to capture 3D images whilst on the move.

It is expected that the screen will work like those of the Nintendo 3DS which requires users hold the device in a certain place in front of them to get the 3D effect to be visible. [Read more…]

Gmail Calls: 10 Million Calls Placed in 1st Week

Recently, Google [GOOG] rolled out a new feature to Gmail users called Gmail Calls. The service allows those in the US to make calls to any phone direct from the Gmail interface.

We reported last week that within the first day of Gmail Calls going live that there were 1 million calls made.

In the first full week of being live, 10 million Google Gmail Calls have been made which is a very impressive number. The first 1 million was thought to be high due to many people testing the new service out. However, the number per day continues to grow as even more people find out about the service. [Read more…]

Samsung Galaxy Tab Price – £679.99 – Not Official

Expansys has revealed the Samsung Galaxy Tab price as being £679.99. This price tag is for the 16GB model of the new Samsung tablet. It currently has a launch date October 12.

It isn’t clear if these price points are correct. When compared to the iPad the same 3G 16GB model costs £529 which makes it quite a bit cheaper than the Samsung offering.

Samsung has confirmed to Engadget that no pricing has been made available yet and indicates that any prices revealed on sites are just speculation. [Read more…]
