Opera has released the Opera Mini 5.1 web browser for Windows Mobile devices.

Several videos of the Motorola DROID 2 R2-D2 special edition live wall paper have been leaked and posted online.

The special edition DROID 2 will feature four (known so far) Live Wall Papers such as the Millennium Falcon Asteroid Field, Jump to Light Speed, Interactive R2D2 and Space Slug. To activate them you need to shake the phone and at that point the wall papers come alive. [Read more…]

iMovie App Updated for iOS 4.1

The iPhone iMovie app has been updated with the launch of iOS 4.1. The latest version of iMovie (version 1.1) has a number of new features that improve on the software. The first is that it is now compatible with the latest iPod touch.

The ability to split clips has also been introduced which was a problem before as you had to keep jumping out of iMove to go to the photos app to split video.

Apple Could Sell 28 Million iPads in 2011

Maynard Um with UBS Investment Research has suggested that in 2011, Apple [AAPL] might sell 28 million iPads.

Maynard Um with UBS Investment Research issued a note to investors this week, in which he increased his price target for AAPL stock to $350, up from $340. He said there is no evidence that the iPad is having a negative effect on Mac sales, but it is “adversely affecting the PC industry.”

The report goes on to say that sales of traditional notebooks seem to be pressured by the launch of the iPad. [Read more…]

Kno Dual-Screen Tablet Landing This Year

The Kno Tablet is a dual-screened tablet device that has a couple of 14.1 inch displays. Inside, Tegra 2 chip can be found. For storage, it has 16GB.

Not much else is known about the device other than it’s creator saying it will be the worlds most powerful tablet device ever launched.

Windows Phone 7 Release Date Could be October 11

The Windows Phone 7 release date isn’t officially known at the moment although some insiders today are hinting that October 11 could be the day the new OS and smartphones roll out.

T-Mobile G2 Official Details Announced

The T-Mobile G2 is another Android device that’s well worth looking out for when it arrives. It is a step up from the original T-Mobile G1 that launched a couple of years back and includes a fast snapdragon processor, runs Android 2.2, the latest OS from Google [GOOG], and connects up to 4G speed networks via HSPA+.

iOS 4.1 Jailbreak for iPhone, iPod and iPad Coming Soon

Just hours after Apple [AAPL] released the iOS 4.1 download, a vulnerability was found by the iPhone Dev Team that allows an iOS 4.1 jailbreak to happen.

iPod touch 4th Generation Teardown

iFixit managed to get hold of an iPod touch to tear down. The iPod touch went on sale this week after being announced just last week at the Apple Special Event.

The iPod touch is very thin and hence, a lower resolution camera was used as the 5 megapixel version from the iPhone 4 just wouldn’t fit with the technology used today.

The new touch uses an A4 processor although it comes packaged with 256MB of RAM (just like the iPad) rather than the 512MB of the iPhone 4. [Read more…]

Google Instant Search Announced

Google [GOOG] has updated its search services by providing instant search results. The service is called Google Instant and allows you to see search results as you type in what you are looking for.

For example in the UK if you hit type A in to the search box, Argos is at the top of the results pages. Add a p to the search box and the results switch to show Apple in the top place.

According to Google, tests indicate that there are time savings by creating search results on the fly as users type.
