The key here is not only the massive amount of storage speed, but more so the speed that the drive spins. Apple has finally launched it’s 2TB time capsule. We first heard about the 2TB model several months ago and wondered when it would surface.

Western Digital have created the highest capacity 2.5″ with a 12.5mm form factor hard drive. The highest of the 2 new drives can store 1TB of data and uses a 333 GB per platter technology. As well as a 1TB model being available WD will also create a 750GB model which I assume uses 3 x 250GB platters.
