On September 18th a magazine in the US will show the first video advertisement by using a small slim mobile phone sized screen embedded in to a page of the magazine. The video ads will show up in the Entertainment Weekly magazine and show a run of Pepsi commercials to users reading.
The video ads are activated when the page is turned and the screens have a chip capable of storing up to 40 minutes of video with 70 minutes of battery life. Batteries in the screens are rechargeable. [Read more…]
Orange have announced the official details of it’s launch of the LG watch phone (GD910). It will go on sale August 27th and cost £500 for pay as you go customers (non-contract). It appears that stock will be limited as Orange have restricted sales to just 1 per customer.

The Varta Digital battery charger is a device that acts as a normal battery charger in that you plug it in to the wall to charge AA and AAA batteries. However, it also has a 12V car adapter so that you can charge batteries on the go. To make even more useful the Varta also has a USB port that allows you to use your PC to charge the batteries.
This bat cave home cinema was built by Frankston HiFi and was built from the ground up starting right at the carpet. Walls we then created carefully to make them look as realistic as possible. The room measures 26ft x 18ft making it fairly large.
I really don’t get the point of the USB Hub Alarm Clock. I just don’t remember a time when an alarm clock woke me up and I had the sudden urge to connect up 4 USB devices to it… but I guess the creators have done their research and found there is a need for such a device. With it being an alarm clock you would expect it’s for the side of your bed, but as it’s a hub does it sit with your PC on the desk? If so, doesn’t your computer tell the time anyway? Confusing!
Dell have revealed details on their latest laptop named the Dell Inspiron 11z. The Dell 11z is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron 723 CULV processor, has an integrated graphics chip and an 11.6 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

MSI are working on a series of touchscreen netbooks that are planned for a late this year launch. The netbooks will be powered by the Intel Pine Trail-M platform.
