Samsung have announced the launch of a new portable multimedia player called the Samsung YP-R0. The device has a 2.6 inch colour LCD screen and comes with either 4GB or 8GB of storage depending on the model you choose. By using a microSDHC memory card the storage can be increased by a further 16GB.
Also to be found inside the Samsung R0 is an FM radio, various codec support for video formats including DivX, XviD and H.264 along with the usual photo and video viewing software. [Read more…]
The iPhone has had a few projectors launched for it of which they look quite good. The latest that I came across just today is the HypnosEye that although does it’s job of projecting an image, doesn’t look that good. Looks aside though, the HypnosEye is a simple projector that uses a lens and mirror to project images seen on the screen of your iPhone.
Olive Media Inc have announced the launch of a HD Hi-Fi Music server that is designed and built for use with home stereo systems.

OCZ have launched a new high capacity SSD drive named Colossus. The new line of storage devices are capable of storing up to 1TB of data. Each drive comes in a 3.5″ form factor and each of the drives in the series have read and write speeds of up to 260MBps.

Apple [AAPL] are apparently already working on the next update to OS X which for now we’ll assume it’s called 10.7. The rumour started because of someone tracking down a database of changes to open source launchd framework which mentions a different error referencing a Mac OS X build number.
iCarte is a new accessory built for the iPhone that allows it to use near field communications or RFID. The application that you install on your iPhone allows you to configure your iPhone as an e-wallet to make contactless payments. As well as being able to send information to another device, the iCarte is also capable of reading information.
