LG BL40 Chocolate Review

by Matthew on October 19, 2009

LG BL40 Chocolate Review 300x200 LG BL40 Chocolate ReviewThe LG BL40 Chocolate mobile phone is unique due to it’s cinematic widescreen display that has an aspect ratio of 21:9 allowing it to play feature length movies with no borders top or bottom. With the BL40 having a large aspect ratio screen the phone is longer than your average mobile phone and though pictures seem to show the phone being a little over sized, when holding it you’ll find that it actually works very well and sits in your pocket very well.

The front of the phone is covered in tempered glass and has a nice glossy shine to it. There are no buttons on the front of the device and it’s just a smooth piece of glass that has just the ear speaker cut out. Both the top and bottom ends of the phone are accented in a vibrant red while the sides continue on the glossy black look of the front along with a thin silver strip that runs the length of the phone on each side. On the back of the phone the black gloss look is continued with just a small cut out for the 5 megapixel camera lens, flash and a small microphone. [click to continue…]

iPhone 3 Specs Leaked

by Matthew on May 14, 2009

new iphone 3 iPhone 3 Specs LeakedIt appears that some specs have leaked about the latest iPhone that is rumoured to be announced next month. The rumour comes from a Chinese Apple website and includes a picture of the technical specs. Specifications include a 32GB storage capacity, 600 MHz processor and 256MB of RAM.

If the rumours are true then we should be in for a snappier iPhone. To be honest it’s no real surprise that they would be bumping up the specs. The main questions left unanswered are what it will look like and if a hardware keyboard will be included. I don’t personally think they will bother with a keyboard, but I imagine that a slightly refined design in a similar shape and size to the current model will be in store. [click to continue…]

Verizon to get Samsung Alias 2

by Matthew on May 12, 2009

samsung alias 2 Verizon to get Samsung Alias 2Verizon have announced that they have launched the Samsung Alias 2. The Alias 2 is a dual hinged clamshell phone which has a unique keyboard that is actually E-Ink. The keyboard is QWERTY and with each key using E-Ink it can quickly transform in to a different layout. The overall effect is actually quite good and because e-ink doesn’t require much power to work (ie, only when changing the state) it doesn’t provide any major impact to the phones battery life. CiBox Digital Photo Frame Review

by Matthew on October 21, 2008

cibox digital photo frame CiBox Digital Photo Frame ReviewI recently received a CiBox 7 inch photo frame to review. The feature that stood out to me amongst the other frames I have seen is that the frame includes three facia plates allowing you to switch between colours to suit the theme of your home. This was important as it bugs me that you are sometimes stuck with a frame you like the features of, but it just doesn’t look right sitting in your room. Included colours are silver, black and white which are all easy to remove by the use of a supplied pin. Lets take a look at the CiBox digital photo frame. [click to continue…]
