2 Million Beatles Tracks Sold in iTunes

Just a week ago, the Beatles came to Apple iTunes. Within the first week of launch it is now indicated that over 2 million Beatles tracks have been downloaded.

As well as shifting 2 million tracks, almost half a million albums were also sold according to Rolling Stone. Each album in the UK costs £10.99 with each track costing 99 pence. [Read more…]

Nintendo DSi Gets Color Makeover

The Nintendo DSi will be launching in a couple of new official colors in the next few weeks. Nintendo is launching a couple of holiday bundles that see the DSi launching in both green and orange as well as being packaged with a game.

The new bundles are limited edition and once all sold out, no more will be made available to purchase. Price wise, they will cost $150 each and will be going on sale this Black Friday, November 26. [Read more…]

Pandigital 9 Inch Multimedia eBook Reader Released

Pandigital has launched another new eBook reader. This time the device has a 9 inch screen and is being dubbed as a multimedia eReader.

The device has a 9 inch TFT colour touchscreen. It has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. 2GB of storage can be found inside and an extra 32GB can be added to that via the SD/SDHC memory card slot. [Read more…]

MacBook Air Gets Colorware Treatment

If you have a MacBook Air and a few hundred dollars to waste, then you can now give your MacBook Air the colorware treatment.

The company is now offering the MacBook Air in any colour combination you wish and allows you to choose what you want. The price? $1850 although it does include a 13 inch MacBook Air (2010 model). [Read more…]

Motorola DROID to get Android 2.2.1 Update?

The original Motorola DROID could be set to get an OTA update for Android 2.2.1. The 2.2.1 is not a major update (AKA Gingerbread), but instead is believed to bring a few minor bug fixes to the smartphone.

Apple I Computer Sells for $210,000

Yesterday in London, the original Apple I computer sold. This particular model was one of 200 made in the beginning. When launched in 1976 it cost $666.66.

Android 2.3 Gingerbread Release Date – December 6?

Some rumours are floating about at the moment hinting that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread release date could be as soon as December 6. Reasons for thinking this is that recently, Eric Schmidt said that Google Android Gingerbread would be available within weeks.

Amazon Kindle (Previous Gen) Black Friday Deal

Amazon has announced that it will be selling the previous-gen Amazon Kindle for $89 starting at 9am PST. The deal looks like it will run until all of the older stock is depleted. The exact amount of units available is unknown at the moment.

Apple iPad Design Patent Shows Landscape Dock Connector

The Apple iPad 2 could contain a landscape dock connector allowing the iPad to be docked in either portrait or landscape mode and still get the syncing and juice it needs to charge.

This isn’t the first time we have seen this patent. Previously the second dock connector was spotted over in China in September and then Europe in October. Now, the design patent has just been made available in the US which further strengthens the possibility that we’ll be seeing two connectors on the new iPad. [Read more…]

Check out the Star Trek Home Computer. It was designed to use the LCARS interface. The LCARS theme was custom designed and uses the Windows Media Player engine running on Windows XP.

Confirmed: Angry Birds Christmas Edition Launching Soon

Angry Birds Christmas edition will be launching in December. A Finnish TV station confirmed the existence along with the image on show below.

What can we expect from Angry Birds Christmas Edition… we suspect the same as always, ie a lot of fun throwing birds at constructions to squash the pigs in attempt to claim three stars…. mixed with a lot of snow, Christmas trees, presents and ice of course. [Read more…]

UberTwitter for iPhone Launches in Open Beta

UberTwitter is coming to the iPhone. A press release pushed out has announced that the Twitter client is available for free in the iTunes store and is being made available as a Beta release for testing.

UberTwitter is one of the most popular twitter clients available and accounts for 10 million tweets per day from BlackBerry users. Moving it to the iPhone will further increase that number. [Read more…]
