BGR managed to get hold of some details related to the launch dates of the Motorola Devour. The Devour will be launching on February 25th on indirect channels at authorised distributors and the following month on March 15th to all channels. Pricing in this instance is not known due to Verizon (who will be the carrier) not listing prices on the leaked documents.
A number of sources have mentioned to BGR that the price point is expected to be $99 for the smartphone thoughwhich is not a bad price if it happens.
Motorola Devour Technical Details
The Motorola Devour has a 3.1 inch touchscreen that has a HVGA resolution displaying 320 x 480 pixels with 65K colours as well as a slide out QWERTY keyboard that slides out of the left side of the screen. For connectivity the Devour has Bluetooth v2.0+EDR and supports the usual headset, handsfree, stereo, phonebook and Audio/Visual remote control profiles. The VPhone was on show at CES in Las Vegas last week. The VPhone comes from a company called Saygus, a small company based in Utah. The VPhone allows for two-way calls to be made on the Verizon network and is part of Verizon’s [VZ]
The Acer Liquid A1 has gone on sale in the UK at various online stores. Originally the A1 was reported as having a 1GHz Snapdrahon processor although looking at the specs now it seems Acer have clocked it at 768MHz to probably save on battery life.
Motorola have published the product pages for the new Motorola Droid phone due out soon. However, the page was only online for a brief amount of time. We won’t go in to why we think it was pulled so quick, but what it did reveal is the official specs for the phone.
Canon have announced the Mark 4 version of their EOS-1D camera. The camera comes with a 16.1 megapixel sensor with an ISO range of 100 to 12,800 native all the way up to 102,400.
The LG BL40 Chocolate mobile phone is unique due to it’s cinematic widescreen display that has an aspect ratio of 21:9 allowing it to play feature length movies with no borders top or bottom. With the BL40 having a large aspect ratio screen the phone is longer than your average mobile phone and though pictures seem to show the phone being a little over sized, when holding it you’ll find that it actually works very well and sits in your pocket very well.

Verizon have announced that they have launched the Samsung Alias 2. The Alias 2 is a dual hinged clamshell phone which has a unique keyboard that is actually E-Ink. The keyboard is QWERTY and with each key using E-Ink it can quickly transform in to a different layout. The overall effect is actually quite good and because e-ink doesn’t require much power to work (ie, only when changing the state) it doesn’t provide any major impact to the phones battery life.
The Samsung NC20 netbook will be launching soon and is a step up from the NC10. The differences between the 2 are the processor and screen size.
The sWap Mobile Phone watch allows you to chuck away your old phone, keep your SIM card and still make phone calls. This watch allows for full communication between you and any other mobile phone, but rather then sticking it in your pocket when you have finished making a call, you simply leave it on your wrist.
This Cell Phone watch has a number of quite cool features which include a camera, vibration, card slot and bluetooth. It is named the D299i Quad Band Cell Phone Watch and has a built in 1.4 inch touch screen display.
