Android’s Angry Birds Fling Their Way To 1 Million Downloads

When Angry Birds was first released on the iPhone iOS way back in February earlier this year, it made tremendous headway above many other apps coming out a the time due to its simplicity, wacky design features and steady learning curve. Then over it’s first 5 months, Angry Birds managed to reach over 4 million downloads.

Though the game suffered with delays, this didn’t seem to hamper the appetites of those wanting this fab little title.

Now that Rovio Mobile’s top trump of a game has officially landed on smartphones utilising Google’s OS – Android, Angry Birds is set to do even better with downloads already topping over 1 million downloads. What’s even more astonishing is that these 1 million downloads came during the game’s first 24hrs of being available to the masses.

Due to demand being so great,  the app service – GetJar suffered server problems thus causing their site to go down over the weekend. This in tow meant that the game had to be released earlier than expected.

Angry Birds continues to more than satisfy mobile gamers as the developers continue to add to its game by releasing further levels and tweaks at no extra cost.
