Samsung Galaxy S II users are now beginning to get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. The update has begun rolling out in a few countries in Europe which includes Poland, Hungary as well as Sweden. Samsung is running the update cycle in stages starting with the three countries just mentioned and after that, it will spread further across Europe.

Rovio has commented more on what Angry Birds Space will be available on. At launch (22 March) it will be made available on Mac, PC, iOS and Android. After that it will arrive on the Nintendo 3DS. Rovio is also interested on making a version available on the PlayStation Vita although this may or may not happen.

Google has changed the name of the Android Market and has combined it with a service called Google Play. Google Play is now the new name of the Android Market, Google Music and the Google eBook Store. What the new service does is allow you to access all of your content across all of your Google devices. An example would be that you download a book on your Android Smartphone. All other devices (including computers) connected up to the Google Play account will immediately get that book downloaded and when opening up the book on another device, you'll be able to continue where you left off.

Google has increased the app size limit for apps from 50MB to 4GB. The move will allow developers to upload apps that are more than 50MB in size which would essentially allow for larger game apps, some of which can be over 1GB in size.

Some good news for Samsung Galaxy S II owners was announced today. We now hear that Samsung will be pushing out the Ice Cream Sandwich update on March 15th. This will take it from its current 2.3 Gingerbread version to the latest Android 4.0 version.

OnLive Desktop for the iPad launched recently. The service allows users to access a virtual Windows 7 based computer remotely so that spreadsheets can be edited and flash content can be browsed online. This app for connecting to that service is now available for Android devices.

The Samsung Galaxy S II has now arrived on the U.S. Cellular network. The company announced that it was coming a couple of weeks back and now it is available. Price wise, the S II costs $229.99 after a $100 mail in rebate.

It appears that the HTC One X will be released in the UK on April 5th. The One X follows on in the new series of One devices from HTC and at launch, it will be the companies most powerful smartphone available. It runs a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip inside.

Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy Beam smartphone. The device is a little unique in that it has a built in pico projector allowing up to a 50 inch nHD screen to be projected on to any surface.

Rovio has announced that Angry Birds Space will be getting a multi-platform worldwide launch on March 22. What that means is that the new version of Angry Birds will be launching on iOS, Android, PC and Mac next month. The event will kick off at 3pm for those of us in the UK.
