Samsung Galaxy Tab will Land on Verizon, Sprint and AT&T

Samsung has yet to reveal the official price for the Samsung Galaxy Tab Android tablet. We have had some estimations based on the unlocked, SIM free models from places such as Amazon, Expansys and Clove in the UK who have each priced the tablet device at between £600 and £700.

In the US we have heard it will be costing $200 – $400 with a contract which means the price will be subsidised. As for carriers, we now hear that the Tab will be going to Verizon, Sprint and AT&T in the US.

Exact prices of the Tab should be revealed in the next few days, or perhaps next week. We are expecting that the SIM free prices will stay the same or at least similar although for the UK, we expect that a carrier subsidised price with a contract will also be made available.

For technical specs we know it has a 7 inch screen, will run Android 2.2, will have 16GB or 32GB of storage capacity depending on which model you choose. It will also have cameras allowing for video calls to be made.

Samsung has also made the Galaxy Tab be usable as a smartphone that can send text messages, MMS messages as well as give the ability to make phone calls with it.

We’ll keep our eye on the pricing as many have been waiting patiently for an announcement of this.

  1. hmm, with the a Super AMOLED version, a 10.1-inch flavor, and a tablet-tuned Android, just hit Verizon retail for $599.99, really stunned, but Im not really caring about a comparison to the ipad, there must be lots of folks think so? Well, ipad more likely a consumer electronic, a great portable movies, videoes and game device, at least now Im sucked in movies watching on it in the help of iFunia iPad Video Converter, and now Game center, be a great game playing platform, of course the E-mail and surfing internet or do some office work on it are also handy and convenient.~~~Well, but the Galaxy Tab got its features and superiority and must be on fire too, time will prove that… In a word, both are winsome, the ipad has time superiority, and is $499 for the wifi only version makes some more appealing.
