Motorola to launch Two Droid Phones in July on Verizon

The Motorola DROID Shadow leaked out a few days ago thanks to a Verizon employee using the Verizon staff gym.

From what we read, the Motorola DROID Shadow will launch in July along with another DROID device although which DROID device it is, we don’t know.

The Shadow is an exclusive on the Verizon network although we are unsure if the second DROID device will be also exclusive.

Motorola’s co-CEO Sanjay Jha told investors yesterday that “we will introduce new Droid products in the Verizon franchise,” with up to another dozen phones planned for a 2010 launch (though presumably not all are Android-based).

A new Motoblur UI is also launching this year. It isn’t clear when that will launch but we suspect sometime in the second half of this year.

When we get more details about the second DROID device we’ll update you guys.

Regarding the first device mentioned, the Motorola DROID Shadow… we currently know that it has an 8 megapixel camera on the back capable of capturing 720p HD video. It is expected that Android 2.2 will be installed on the device at launch and that the device will have a 4.3 inch screen. Other details show it has a 16GB storage capacity (internal) along with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor that we commonly see in new Android devices.
