iOS 4.3 Lets you Change Function of Mute Switch back to Lock Rotate

While playing around with the new iOS 4.3 beta on the iPad, we came across an interesting menu item in the settings app that lets you now change what the Mute button does. You now have the option of switching it back to a lock rotation button.

If you think back to when the iPad first got iOS 4 the handy lock rotate button had its function changed to a mute switch. Since then, to lock the rotation you had to double tap the home button, swipe to the controls menu and then tap the orientation lock button. A number of people complained about this process and it appears in this case, Apple has decided to listen.

The switch back and forth is as simple as jumping in to the General Settings menu and selecting which option you want, as seen below.
