Apple [AAPL] has filed a trademark for the term “iTunes Live” which is making a number of people speculate that this could be the live music service that has been rumoured previously.

International Class 035: Online retail store services in the field of entertainment featuring prerecorded musical, audio and audiovisual content
International Class 041: Entertainment services, namely, arranging and conducting of concerts and live musical performances
It might be a while before we hear anything official on this trademark from Apple although we are only a month away now from a rumoured announcement/launch of the iPhone 4G and perhaps iPhone OS 4.0 will get an official announcement soon which could encompass an announcement about iTunes Live and the services it will offer.
