The 11.6-inch M11x Alienware ultra-portable - 'the most powerful 11-inch gaming laptop in the universe' - has just been announced by dell. The Alienware M11x is set to bring the graphics power of a 15in laptop in a 11in netbook sized ultra-portable. All games and media can be played at HD 720p resolution - wherever the user is.
Although full specifications have yet to released, Dell have advised we can expect:
* 6 1/2 hours battery life (battery mode)
* 2 hours of "intense gaming" - thanks to the faster NVIDIA GPU which can be switched to in seconds without the need to log out or to restart the machine.
* Video out via DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA
* 3D mark scores in 6-7k range
* 50FPS Crysis, 30FPS Call of Duty on high settings
* HDMI connector for plugging in an HDTV.
* Under $1000
