We like the idea of AirPrint and the ability to print wirelessly from the iPad or iPhone to a wireless printer. The problem is that not all printers are compatible. To get AirPrint working you need to choose one of the supported printers.
For those that don’t want to replace a printer just so it works with AirPrint, there is another way. The xPrintServer allows you to connect it up to a printer and then print wirelessly to a printer.
The device costs $149.95 and works well in business environments where a number of people can share it. Of course it would work well on its own although you might find it a challenge trying to justify $149.95 for personal printing.
The device is simple to install and requires that you just connect a printer up to it via a network cable. When installed you connect your iPad up to it and when you search for printers, a printer is available to print to.
