Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Rumoured for September 15 Launch

Microsoft could be launching Windows Phone 7.5 Mango as early as this week. Rumoured dates have hinted at September 15 being the release date of the OS and we are now hearing more supporting evidence that confirms this to be so.

In a pod-cast released last week a mention of Mango being released this week was heard. As well as the OS being made available this week we’ve also heard that the final tools for developers will also be released.

If you haven’t seen Windows Phone Mango yet, check out the video below which has a demonstration of some of the new features included in the update. The video was taken several months ago, so some of the content may be changed by now.

Some of those new features include the following:

· Our unique new email Conversation View which helps me to efficiently participate in long email discussions with my friends and co-workers.
· Threads that bring together my text, IM, and Facebook chat all into one conversation.
· App Multitasking, enabling me to efficiently work on my email, listen to music, and then pop in and out of Words By Post games when it is my turn. Mango also connects apps to search results and deepens integration within the Hubs like Music and Video and Pictures.
· Internet Explorer 9 for fast web browsing and support for new HTML 5 web sites.
