webOS 1.4 was first pencilled in for a February 15 launch. This didn’t happen for various unknown reasons. What we hear now is that the new webOS update will start rolling out in just 3 days time on February 25. The update process of the Palm Pre is that 100,000 devices get the update at a time. Once those updates have completed the next 100,000 devices get the update.
Updates that are to be included in this version change are video recording, Flash 10.1 compatibility and various speed improvements.
Also an update to fix an LED error is also rumoured to be included in this next update.
Although nothing too riveting, it’s good to see that Palm still are working on webOS and are bringing some fairly good features to the phone.
