Velocity Micro are launching new tablet devices called Cruz. The Cruz will run the Android 2.1 operating system and will come in a couple of variations which include a 4 x 3 and a 16 x 9 aspect configuration.
The high end devices out of the series will have 7 inch capacitive multitouch screens. Inside they will run 800MHz processors that should keep Android running quite well. The tablets are to be compatible with Adobe Flash 10.1 out of the box.
We also are hearing that the tablets will cost less than $300 when launched hopefully in the summer of this year.
The device certainly has the specifications to work well and by running the latest build of Android the user interface should be good too. Lets just hope the hardware can handle flash at a decent level.
