Tweetie Founder Leaves Twitter

Tweetie was a Twitter client for both iOS and Macs. It launched in 2007 and became very popular, so much so that Twitter ended up buying the company along with hiring it’s founder Loren Brichter. We now hear that Loren is leaving Twitter to move on to other things:

Since Twitter purchased Atebits (the creators of Tweetie) it has since turned Tweetie in to the official native twitter client for both iOS and for the Mac.

9to5Mac managed to find an interesting video from Stanford University where Loren spoke for over half an hour on how to create a successful app.

As mentioned above, we are unsure at the moment about what plans Loren has, but given his track record with Tweetie we can assume that he will be moving on to something good.
