As of December this year, those of you in Japan will be able to pick up a Sony Reader device. Sony stopped selling the Sony eReader in Japan back in 2007, but is now returning to that area to start up sales again.
When the eReader launches again, it will compete with the Amazon Kindle as well as other eBook readers that have been selling in that region.
Two models are being pushed out with one of them having a 5 inch screen. Price wise, that particular model is 20,000 YEN (about $240 at todays exchange rate). A larger screened model is also launching with a price tag of 25,000 YEN which is about $300.
