Yesterday we mentioned that Google was about to roll out a new update for Google TV. The rollout has now begun with Sony Google TVs getting the 2.0 update.
The update is sent out to Sony Internet TVs OTA (over-the-air). Google hasn’t provided specific dates for Logitech devices to get the update, but we expect they will also get an OTA update within the next week or two.
The new Google TV update brings Android 3.1 Honeycomb to the TV and has a completely new designed user interface as well as better search functions and the addition of the Android Market allowing developers to create and users to download apps to their TV.
