The Plastic Logic 100 is a new eReader that has a 10.7 inch eInk display. The eReader has been designed specifically for use in schools and works well with educational type applications.
The eReader measures just 7.65mm in thickness and weighs 475g. The screen has a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels and thanks to the eInk technology the battery is good for a whole week. The screen is also capacitive touch.
Some of the key features of the Plastic Logic 100 include the anti-glare and anti-fingerprint covering on the screen. The device is also shatter-proof which makes it ideal for use in school environments.
Powering the eReader is an 800MHz processor. The OS on the device is Windows CE. Storage capacity is 4GB. Unfortunately there is no wireless connectivity on this device although a microSD card slot is available to transfer data.
When it launches it will cost 12,000 Russian Rubles which is about $396.
