Samsung Mondi Announced

The Samsung Mondi has now been officially announced. The phone features a full QWERTY slide out keyboard and surprisingly runs the Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.

The phone has WiMax, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi built in. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1 as mentioned above and web browsing is done through the Opera 9.5 browser. The screen measures 4.3 inches and is touch-screen. 4GB of storage is built in and it has a 3 megapixel camera. A HDMI output is also included on this device.

Samsung are trying to market the Mondi as having similar features to a laptop, computer or netbook although running Windows Mobile we all know that it comes no where near close. That’s not saying WM 6.1 is bad, it’s just not the same as a 10.x inch netbook running XP.
