Samsung has confirmed that it will be using a Super TFT LCD screen in the Samsung Galaxy Tab when it launches. This is a different screen to the Samsung Galaxy S that currently uses Super AMOLED technology.
The reasons for using a Super TFT screen is apparently to do with them being cheaper to manufacture and that the screens run more efficiently which increases battery life.
The Super TFT technology it’s self was developed alongside the Super AMOLED screen technology.
