Galaxy Tab owners are in for a treat as Samsung has begun rolling out the Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread update to the tablet. The rollout is happening now in Italy and is available through Kies. When installing, you’ll see the P1000XXJQ1 and P1000XXPZ updates available.
It isn’t known when the rest of the world will get the update, but expect to hear soon.
The downside of course is that this isn’t Honeycomb (3.0) although the Tab was one of the first major tablets launched and therefore, this may or may not happen.
