Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Demonstrated

Over at AndroidHD, pictures and a few details of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 have been posted. The team managed to get hold of one for the day to see what it was all about and also give the rundown of how it performs and functions. With it being Android 3.0 Honeycomb, we’ve seen various aspects before of course… due to demonstrations done by Google and the fact that the Xoom has already been reviewed.

The video demonstration is just shy of 12 minutes long and shows a number of the features such as how email notifications are made, how to activate voice features and in general, how a lot of the functions work.

I have to admit that it looks impressive. The emails sliding up in the bottom corner look good and allow you to focus on what you are doing rather than switch out each time an email is received. The browser looks to perform well and certainly looks to be fluid/smooth in terms of scrolling.

It has a larger display than the iPad which some might like and others might not. This is down to personal preference though.

Weight wise, it’s 599g when loaded with all the features. Check out the video below to see it in action. One thing to note is that HD video recording looks a little choppy. This, if actually a problem, will more than likely be fixed before release although I recommend checking that before buying if HD video is one of the main reasons you are buying it.
