Samsung Bada OS 2.0 SDK Announced

Samsung is launching the latest Bada OS SDK. The new version is Bada OS 2.0 and when it launches, we’ll also see the launch of 3 new Bada OS based smartphones that carry the Samsung Wave name.

Currently the Bada OS is utilised on about 1.9 percent of all smartphones in the world which makes it more popular than Windows Phone 7 at the moment. The OS is propriety.

New features were announced earlier this year in a beta version of Bada OS 2.0 which includes multitasking support as well as an app store with about 40,000 apps available for download. Other features include NFC support (near field communications). The device is also able to display both Flash and HTML5 content.

You can grab the new SDK now from the Bada website.
