Nokia N9 Coming in White and Getting a Software Update

Nokia has announced that it is launching a white version of the Nokia N9. Along with a new white N9 launching, Nokia is also about to push out a new software update to the device.

The reason for the delay in launching a white model is as follows:

“The manufacturing process for beautiful white products is quite complex and we wanted to make sure we deliver the best possible quality for our consumers.”

The white version will launch sometime in the 4th quarter of this year. The version first made available will be the 64GB model. The main differences with the white N9 is that it will have a glossy finish rather than a matte finish that the other colours have.

When the software update is released it will bring some UI tweaks to the phones as well as add music control keys on the lock screen. Also, NFC tag reading will be included.
