Last week, MyDroidWorld managed to obtain the Motorola DROID X Android 2.2 update. The update wasn’t the final version, but was uploaded to a server for users to download and install.
This update has now been taken off line as Motorola has sent a cease & desist to MyDroidWorld telling them to take it off line, which they did.

If you are looking to get the Android 2.2 update for your DROID X then the post does mention it might still be available on a mirror somewhere. If you cannot find it then you shouldn’t have to wait too much longer as the official version is expected to be released very soon.
