The CEO of Meizu has confirmed that the M9 and MX devices will both get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The comments were left on the company forum which also confirmed an unchanged December launch for the Meizu MX.
The exact release date for Android Ice Cream Sandwich on the M9 and MX is not known at the moment although the MX launching in December could have the OS pre-installed.
Moving on to the actual hardware of the MX, it was also mentioned that the delays of this device were attributed to wanting a sharper back-illuminated camera on the device. The actual device will have a 4.3 inch screen and will come in two different types. The lower 16GB capacity will have a dual-core processor inside while the larger 32GB model will come with a quad-core chip.
