MacBook users have had MagSafe power connectors for quite a while now. The MagSafe is a magnetic power connector that connects the power lead to your laptop and if the cable is tripped over, it simply falls off without damaging the power connector.
For those of you who do not have a MagSafe, you can now create your own MagSafe connector to protect your laptop. The connector actually looks quite good. Normally these sort of hacks are bodge jobs that are stuck together with glue and have wires hanging out. This one actually looks quite good!

To get it working you will need a number of items including magnets, nail(s), epoxy adhesive to name a few things. Follow the instructions linked above and let us know how it goes in the comments.
