Apple announced that OS X Mountain Lion is its most popular operating system in terms of how many downloads have occurred since launch a few days ago.
“Just a year after the incredibly successful introduction of Lion, customers have downloaded Mountain Lion over three million times in just four days, making it our most successful release ever,”
The launch of OS X Mountain Lion comes about a year after OS X Lion. New features include the new notifications panel, messages, dictation, AirPlay mirroring as we as various other tweaks.
The update is available as a download through the Mac App store and costs $19.99 for those in the US and £13.99 for those in the UK. The update is also available in a number of other countries.
