The Kodak Playsport is a rugged camcorder that is waterproof up to 3 meters. It has a 5 megapixel sensor and is capable of capturing video up to a 1080p Full HD resolution. As well as capturing video the camera can also capture 16:9 wide aspect stills. 4X digital zoom is also included.
The camera has been designed to be rugged and comes in a tactile rubber casing that helps it withstand the occasional knock and scrape making it ideal for taking on sporting activities. As the camera is designed to be used for sports and the likes, it features image stabilisation to keep images less wobbly while recording them.
The camera has built-in software that allows you to connect it easily to a computer and send the videos direct to Facebook and YouTube. A 2 inch screen on the front allows you to preview the content you just recorded.
The camera has built in memory, but it is recommended that you use an SD card for extra storage space. The Kodak Playsport accepts up to a 32GB memory card in SD/SDHC format.
When buying the camera you also get an HDMI cable allowing it to be connected up to your TV to play video back direct from the camera.
