iOS 4.1 currently has a bug that lets you pass the lock screen and access the address book and make calls from the device.
The problem was spotted last week. With the iOS 4.2 release date getting closer, we learn that the bug is actually fixed in the new version and that when it rolls out, those updating will be secure again.
The iOS 4.2 release date is expected to be next week sometime if this new version follows version 4.1 that had a weeks wait after GM was released. We’ll possibly here more this week at the special Apple event being held for developers.
