A senior VP at HP (Eric Cador) said over in Barcelona at a recent conference… “you will see us coming early next year with new phones,”.
He didn’t particularly specify what phones would be arriving, as in what OS, but I think it’s safe to think that he is referring to webOS. Note that he also said Phones and not just a Phone meaning that two or more smartphones could be landing early next year.
Although I wouldn’t necessarily start saving now for when webOS devices start showing up next year, its interesting to hear that HP hasn’t forgotten about Palm since buying it earlier this year, and that its sites are on more than just fancy printers.
I’m sure we’ll here more soon, especially with details of webOS 2.0 showing up recently.
