HP Slate could be called the eStation Zeen

The FCC unveiled a few documents today that reveal a device called the HP eStation Zeen. Engadget point out that the Zeen name was first spotted in a trademark on a portable handheld device late last year.

The FCC show drawings of a device that looks similar to a HP Slate. The device has a tablet look and has 802.11b/g/n WiFi built in.

Not much else is known about the device although we suspect with HP’s acquisition of Palm will see webOS being used on the tablet.

A confidentiality request that ends at the end of this year has been put in place meaning that no details will be made available on the FCC filing until after Christmas.

Either way, HP need to speed up and get a tablet out there as Apple are getting in the lead by a huge amount.
