HP Mini Note Aluminium Laptop

hp_mininoteA nice range of ultra portable laptops have been showing up around places recently. The Asus EEE PC was one which took the world by storm with it’s low price tag. The next in line is the HP Mini Note which has a high res 1280 x 768 display that measures 8.9″.

Inside you will also find a ton of features with a 92% of full-sized keyboard, a case made completely of aluminium and a 120GB hard drive. There are a few variations of this model available, but the one ThinkGeek decided to sell was the SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 version which costs just $549.99 (that’s less then £300 in the UK). If you do not want to use Linux then still buy it anyway and then install your own copy of Vista where drivers are available from the HP site. Don’t worry about a lack of RAM either as this model comes with 1GB of the stuff which is enough to keep Vista somewhat happy.
