Google Voice for iPhone Lands

The official Google Voice app for iPhone has launched today. The app follows on from a few third party options that were released recently.

The official Google Voice app currently works in the US only and requires users to have a Google Voice account to use the service.

As for compatibility, it works on iOS 3.0 iPhones and above and has also been tested with iOS 4.0 (we assume above also).

Services that the official app brings include push notifications for text and new voicemail, free text messages to US numbers, cheap international phone calls and voicemail transcripts.

You can grab a copy of the app now over in the iTunes store. Just do a search for either googlevoice or google voice and it should show up. Remember at this point, its for those in the US only.
