Google Nexus Tablet Could be Built by LG

Information provided by Mobile Review hints that Google is looking to make a Google Nexus Tablet device. The company who has been given the task of creating the Google branded tablet is LG.

If LG go ahead and make it, the tablet will follow on from a couple of smartphones with the first being built by HTC (Nexus One) and the second being a Samsung device called the Nexus S.

Right now, it isn’t clear if Google will use the Nexus Tablet externally and make it available, or if it might be for internal development only.

We suspect the former of the two in that Google will make it available to buy and will end up using the tablet to boost Android 3.0 Honeycomb, just like the Nexus One boosted the Android 2.x OS when it launched.

What ever happens, we hear that Google will look to possibly launch the device in as early as summer, perhaps early autumn.

As for the specs, we don’t know anything about it at the moment, but we suspect it will do something extra and step up the game a little for Android based devices. It certainly will be something to look out for if Google launch it.
