Google [GOOG] has purchased a social games developer called Social Deck. Social Deck is a company that makes games for both mobile and smartphones which indicates Google are moving in to games development.
The games built by Social Desk are generally multiplayer based that work across networks. Popular devices developed for include the iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones.
It isn’t known how much Google paid or how they paid for Social Deck. It will be interesting to see what arrives in the future, particularly on the Android platform.
