Vodafone has announced the release date of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone. The release date is August 16 and it will begin shipping on that date for those who pre-order the device.
The device will be free for those who pay £41/month which also requires you sign a 24 month contract. Quite a high price if you ask us when you compare what else you can get for free at a lower cost per month.
Technical specs reveal that the smartphone runs BlackBerry 7 OS. Inside it has a 1.2GHz processor. The touchscreen supports gestures.
Other technical specs show it has a camera on the back capable of capturing at 5 megapixels. The layout of the device is similar to other BB devices in that it has a QWERTY below a small 2.8 inch screen. For storage, it has 8GB built in.
