Amazon have started taking pre-orders for the ASUS UL30Vt-A1 13.3 inch laptop. The ASUS laptop has some impressive features that include a 12 hour battery life, 4GB of DDR3 memory, Wireless 802.11n and an Intel 1.3GHz Core 2 Duo Processor.
The UL30Vt-A1 is a step up from the older X1 model that lacked a decent battery. The new battery has 8 cells and is rated at 5600mAh which makes the laptop ideal for those who need more power and longer times between charges.
The hard drive has a capacity of 500GB and is a SATA drive. Wireless connectivity also functions on b/g as well as n allowing those who have N based routers to see faster transfers over their local network. Bluetooth is also included with the ASUS laptop as well as a 0.3 megapixel webcam.
Graphics for the laptop are provided by an NVIDIA G210M graphichs chip that has 512MB of DDR3 memory along with an Intel GMA 4500MHD.
The laptop comes installed with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Overall it looks to be an impressive laptop. It is currently unknown when the pre-orders will be shipped out as no date is given yet. Pre-orders can be made over at Amazon where the laptop is priced at $849.
