ASUS Transformer Prime Launched Moved to December

The official launch of the ASUS Transformer Prime could be moved in to December. Digitimes is reporting that Google [GOOG] has been helping ASUS in preparations for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In order to ensure the Transformer Prime launches with Android 4.0 it is likely that the date the tablet will ship will be December.

Although some will be disappointed at the extra waiting time for the new tablet to ship, at least it will launch with Android 4.0 rather than 3.2 with a very quick update.

An event is being held tomorrow by ASUS and we expect to hear more about an official shipping date. Digitimes has a mixed track record when it comes to rumours, so the December date might be incorrect. We’ll find out more tomorrow and post an update.

For those of you unaware of what the Transformer Prime is, it’s a tablet device that has a detachable keyboard. It runs a quad-core processor and is expected to do extremely well due to it being a little more unique than your average tablet.
