Last week Amazon in Germany started listing the ASUS Eee 1001P available for pre-order. We now see that the ASUS 1001P is available for pre-order over at Amazon in the US at a price of $339.99.
The ASUS 1001P has a 10.1 inch screen and an impressive 11 hour battery life. The processor running inside the netbook is a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450. Memory wise it has 1GB of DDR2 memory that can be expanded to 2GB. For storage the 1001P has a 250GB SATA drive spinning at 5400RPM.
Also a 0.3 megapixel webcam is built in. The 10.1 inch matte screen runs at a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and is LCD. Wireless 802.11 b/g is provided for connectivity along with Bluetooth. The netbook will run the Windows 7 Starter operating system.
