Amazon has launched a new app for the iPad called Windowshop. The new app allows users in the UK, France and Germany to browse Amazon within an app rather than via the Safari browser.
The new layout in the app has been designed specifically for the iPad in that icons are spaced out more and the whole experience is more friendly for the touchscreen tablet.
The Windowshop app lets you browse through 40 product categories and also lets you use the 1-click purchase feature. The .com version of the app already launched a while back and this new app for Europe also has the .com site built in for those who want to order for someone in the US.
The app is available for free and can be downloaded in iTunes today.
