Acer Aspire AS1410 CULV Netbook Gets Priced

AS1410-keyboard-shot-512x500Acer have perhaps created a fantastic netbook here in the shape of the Acer Aspire AS1410 CULV. The AS1410 has a fair bit of power inside that includes a Celeron SU2300 1.2GHz processor that has 1MB of L2 Cache and an 800MHz front side bus. Also included in the Aspire AS1410 is 2GB of DDR2 memory that can be upgraded to 4GB.

The screen measures 11.6 inches and has a HD widescreen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The screen is lit by LED and Acer call it their CineCrystal. Due to the larger 11.6″ screen you can also expect a decent sized keyboard on this netbook. Acer say the keyboard is full size which is especially handy on small devices.

The netbook runs Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit version) and to help with the graphics processing the netbook has an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD installed.

For storage the Acer netbook has a 160GB 5400RPM SATA hard drive and also a memory card reader is included. Connectivity wise it has WiFi 802.11 a/b/g and Draft-N (which we assume is just n now that draft n recently came out of draft status).

The netbook has a Crystal Eye webcam included along with stereo speakers and the touchpad on the device is multi-gesture that supports circular motions, scrolling, pinch zoom and page flip.

Acer Aspire AS1410 Remaining Features

* Three USB 2.0 Ports
* HDMI Port
* 6-Cell Li-Ion Battery (4400 mAh), up to Six Hours Battery Life
* 3.08 Pounds
* Two-Year International Travelers Limited Warranty

The great thing here is that all of this will be priced at $399.99 when launched which is a decent price considering all you get.

Although no specific release date is mentioned in the press release, I suspect it could launch this Thursday in time for the Windows 7 launch date.
