The Acer Aspire 1551 is now available to buy. The 11.6 inch laptop has a 1.5GHz Dual-Core Turion II CPU inside along with 4GB of DDR 3 memory, a 320GB hard drive and wireless 802.11n.
The 11.6 inch screen is backlit by LED. At all places we have found it, namely Amazon, BHPhoto (slightly cheaper), Tiger Direct, New Egg and CompUSA it is $549.99 and is available right now to buy. $549.99 is a nice price for what you get considering it’s very portable, powerful with a lot of RAM and storage.
The battery life on the Acer Aspire 1551 is good for about 5 hours with the standard six-cell pack. Other features include an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 GPU that is capable of playing back full HD at 1080p without stuttering or any other problems from what we have heard.
