LG-GD900 – Worlds first Transparent Phone?

I just received a press release mentioning that LG are launching a transparent design phone that will be numbered the LG-GD900. The phone was first seen at MWC2009 and is a crystal like phone that is literally see-through.

The LG-GD900 glass-like phone has a translucent keypad and a polished silver body. When the keypad slides open, light illuminates in a cool glow around the phone in a reflective and refractive way.

“Hot on the heels of another world’s first, the LG Watch Phone, the LG-GD900 creates yet another new category in mobile handset design – transparency. This phone again highlights our commitment to bring new and innovative mobile handsets, with high end features, to market.”

The LG-GD900 transparent phone will be released 2nd quarter in 2009. Not too many features have been released yet except for it having Bluetooth and possibly a similar design bluetooth headset included.

The phone will measure 13.4mm thick and connectivity will be HSDPA at 7.2Mbps.
