clarionmind mid ClarionMiND Mobile Internet Navigation DeviceThe ClarionMiND has now been launched. This Mobile Internet Navigation Device (MiND) will go on sale this month.

It seems like Clarion have actually focussed on making a cool looking audio/video player with GPS and sat nav attached rather then a sat nav looking device that plays media also. The screen is large at 4.8 inches and it runs at an 800 x 480 resolution. It is also touch-screen. It is powered by an Intel Atom processor and runs the Linux operating system. The device is capable of playing RealPlayer files and allows you to browse the web with Firefox. Memory wise this thing has 512MB RAM for running software and it has a 4GB SSD for file storage. Bluetooth and Wi-fi are also included.

On the navigation side of things the device has GPS built in and entire maps of the US and Canada are also pre-installed.

Available in black, red and white it makes for one seriously cool looking device although the $649.99 price tag reflects that too.
